DESPITE THE RECESSION PEOPLE ARE STILL GIVING GENEROUSLY TO WORTHY CAUSES

During the last three weeks the Joey Burke Charity and fundraising auction division has raised close to R 2.5 million and continues to provide excellent auction services to extremely worthwhile causes across South Africa.

At the recently held FLY (Fun Learning for Youth) auction held in Johannesburg Joey raised R 700 000 at a high class function filled with very generous businessman from the Johannesburg business circles. The event held at THE VENUE in Melrose arch was buzzing with well-dressed elegant people who could not stop raising their hands to bid.

The Amy Foundation reached their target of a Million Rand and the 350 guests were treated to a full evening of outstanding entertainment from the children in the foundation, Vicky Sampson, Chasing Time, The Black Ties & Soli Philander.

The Helen Harder Foundation created a Winter Ball of absolute magic with the theme Vintage Circus where R 150 000 was raised and people danced the night away and gave generously to the special cause.

Very recently the Dream tree School for Autism raised much needed funds for another classroom.

All these events have been growing continuously and really appreciate the ongoing support from the public.

Recession or no recession it’s such a great feeling to know that people still care!!!
