JOEY BURKE PLACED SECOND IN THE SA NATIONAL AUCTIONEERING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019

11 contestants put their awesome chants to the test at the 2019 National Auctioneering Championships held in Johannesburg at the Rand Park Club.
This years championships were very exciting as it included a 17 year old competitor from the Western Cape who was placed third. He is definitely an up and coming auctioneer who has started his own business already and is making waves at such an early age. His style and chant stood out significantly as he spoke in two languages, both Afrikaans and English.
The winner of this years event Gift Ngwenya sent the bidders into a bidding war making sure that the prices he received were the best and that his style shone through for the judges.
Joey Burke’s enthusiastic auction chant was electric and extremely appealing as he sold a rugby ball signed by three legendary captains Corne Krige, John Smit and Jean de Villiers and a weekend away at a Protea/Marriot Hotel.
The proceeds of this years auction championships went to the Sally Little foundation and a substantial amount was raised thanks to the generosity of the crowd that attended the dinner.
